If I decide that you don't like me, I don't consider it possible that I would change my mind. You could get people to use this idea. If you liked me, the world would be better. Whereas Kate would not have been able to get people to use this idea. If she had met me, during one of the five times that I tried to meet her (once at noon, where I waited until dusk; once at the library close to where she and I were living, in the university district; once where I went to the Seattle main library, but I had bought a new wireless adapter so I was able to connect to the library's Wifi from outside and email Kate to tell her not to come; once at the intersection of Pine St and 4th Ave in Seattle; and once at the edge of the University of Seattle campus), it would have decreased the chance people used the idea. Yoko Ono had her deleted status on Chirp Club during the time when it was unclear whether I had stopped doing anything, around October 2012.

You might say that if you liked me, Kate would be worse off. But every action has an effect on the world. There is a quantifiable difference between "millions of people die", and "one person has to find someone else to be in a relationship with". In the second case, it's reasonable to say that the benefit to one person outweighs the harm suffered by another person.

So it is not selfish of me to say that your situation is different from Kate's situation. If I would act this way, it does not mean that I think you're a worse person, or less attractive, than Kate. It does not mean that you acted in a 'good' way because you thought I wasn't attracted to you because I wouldn't keep talking about you, the way I keep talking about Kate. It just means you weren't interested in me or never I knew that I existed at all. People can decide their own fate, and their future.

None of these people would share the idea if they knew about it, or information about how to end Gaza's blockade. Useless. If I were an Israeli lawmaker, this video of people blocking a bridge used by other people would make me want to approve the executions of Palestinian prisoners, although the recent law does not apply to people who are already in prison.
